Experience a fun-filled, complimentary ride at our Martha’s Vineyard hotel aboard one of our unique antique vehicles.
Winnetu Oceanside Resort is the proud owner of two authentic antique vehicles—here for your enjoyment and use.
These vehicles transport our guests around the Resort and to/from our Katama Bay Water Taxi Cruise to Edgartown (weather permitting). The vehicles consist of a restored 1956 pumper fire truck, which is outfitted to carry up to 12 people, and an open-air, wooden 1931 Model AA Ford bus. This vehicle is a gem and can carry up to 11 people.
We team our antique fire truck rides with other fun-filled family activities, including delicious cookies served in our Front Lobby (during the spring and fall), and cookies, lemonade, and face painting in the summer.
Antique Vehicle rides are available all season between 3:00 and 4:30 pm.

Before Winnetu (approx. 150 years ago), the Mattakeset Lodge was the place to spend the summer months in Katama. The hotel was famous for its clambakes, dances, and ocean breezes.
