The Summer Work and travel program allows students to spend up to four months working for the Winnetu Oceanside Resort during their summer vacation. Winnetu Oceanside Resort is looking for enthusiastic candidates who have a passion for working at a world-class island resort. First-year Exchange Visitors must go through either CCUSA, Greenheard Exchange, or CIEE sponsor agencies to be considered for employment. Returning Exchange Visitors may apply independently but are still required to go through an approved visa sponsor. Winnetu Oceanside Resort offers H-2B Visa opportunities for international applicants both in and out of country.
Winnetu offers a limited number of staff housing options, conveniently located near the resort. Staff housing options are subsidized by the resort but are limited in quantity. Before Winnetu (approx. 150 years ago), the Mattakeset Lodge was the place to spend the summer months in Katama. The hotel was famous for its clambakes, dances, and ocean breezes.
