“We got engaged in August 2015 and knew we wanted to get married on the Vineyard. We started looking at venues right away because we know how they get booked so quickly in advance. We had never visited the Winnetu before but saw it listed as the best places to get married on the beach online somewhere. So, we decided to take a trip to the Vineyard and visited a couple of venues including the Winnetu. As soon as we arrived to the Winnetu, we fell in love right away. It was so beautiful with an awesome view of South Beach. We got married in September 2016 and it was the wedding of our dreams. We had the ceremony on South Beach (the weather was perfect!) and the reception was at the Dunes. The Winnetu staff was friendly and accommodating from beginning to end. All our guests had such an amazing time that they keep asking us to this day for a vow renewal ceremony at the Winnetu. We are so very grateful because everything was perfect!”

“The Winnetu was hands down the most beautiful wedding venue and I had the wedding of my dreams! Getting married on the beach, a gorgeous outdoor cocktail reception on the deck and amazing food! Becca and Rachel were such amazing and helpful wedding planners all the way through the process and on the day of Becca couldn’t have been more calming and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue in every single aspect. They accommodated all of my reasonable requests, held my hand as needed, guided me when I went off the reservation, made super helpful vendor recommendations, and the food was stellar! The beach venue was absolutely stunning! Everything about the day was simply amazing and absolutely perfect. And the value – especially for the location – it cannot be beat! I highly recommend the Winnetu to any couple considering The Vineyard as a location. I’m so happy my first venue fell through and I was LUCKY enough to be able to book at the Winnetu!”

Before Winnetu (approx. 150 years ago), the Mattakeset Lodge was the place to spend the summer months in Katama. The hotel was famous for its clambakes, dances, and ocean breezes.
