Dear guest,
In May, Governor Baker has lifted all remaining COVID-19 restrictions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts relating to the pandemic as part of his administration’s reopening plan. This includes rescinding the mask mandate that has been in place since the pandemic started, for most industries. However, on 8/18, due to the uptick of COVID-19 infections in Dukes County, the various Boards of Health & Select Boards on Martha’s Vineyard issued an INDOOR mask mandate for all guests and staff regardless of vaccination status. This mandate also extends to vehicles serving the public like the Winnetu shuttle vans. Considering that a large percentage of the population has yet to be vaccinated, and as a safety precaution, we at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort will continue to be operating with certain safeguards to insure everyone’s ongoing safety.
These include:
- You have a choice of morning, afternoon or evening daily housekeeping service. Of course, if you want to skip service entirely just let us know and we can easily provide you with fresh towels, new amenities and trash removal as needed throughout your stay.
- We kindly ask all non-vaccinated guests and patrons to continue to take precautions to ensure their health and wellbeing by continuing to wear a mask while both indoors and outdoors when proper social distancing cannot be established.
- Aligning with MA DESE regulations – we will continue to request that all of our younger guests participating in the children’s programming and the Activities Staff to continue to wear masks while indoors.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Regards,
Matthew Moore
