Winnetu Oceanside Resort (built in the year 2000) is the only Martha’s Vineyard resort located at spectacular South Beach on the magical island of Martha’s Vineyard and just a short water-taxi, bicycle or car ride to the center of Edgartown. Set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with ocean and dune views, a pond, scenic waterfall, and private path to the beach. Our new General Manager, Roderick Anderson, runs the Martha’s Vineyard Resort – while our new Executive Chef, Mark Goldberg, runs our Lure restaurant. Prior to joining the Winnetu Oceanside Resort, Roderick served six years as Hotel Manager at the White Barn Inn, a AAA Five-Diamond property in Kennebunkport, Maine. Prior to the White Barn Inn, he spent 14 years as General Manager at Blantyre in Lenox, Massachusetts. Under his leadership, the hotels received numerous accolades and distinctions, including high rankings in The Hideaway Report, Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, and the Mobil Travel Guide. Mark Goldberg was most recently Chef de Cuisine at Mistral, the acclaimed French-Mediterranean bistro Boston’s South End, where he worked for seven years. Prior to Mistral, Chef Goldberg served as Sous Chef at Boston’s legendary Top of the Hub restaurant, on the panoramic 52nd floor of the Prudential Center. The Winnetu Oceanside Resort is open from mid-April to late October – while Mattakesett Properties can accommodate guests from Memorial Day Weekend to Columbus Day in October.
